Co-Researcher Workshops

To date, hundreds of children and young people (ages 4-25) from both Australia and the UK have participated in the CC + Me program of research as co-researchers.  As part of this, children and young people have attended Research Training workshops with experienced educational researchers. The co-researchers engaged with research theory and methodology, and used a variety of art-based research methods for collecting data about climate change in their communities. These methods included interviews, video, photography, field notes, drawings, poetry and fiction, and the co-researchers are encouraged to experiment with all of these methods in their own ways. The children and young people were not given predetermined definitions or perspectives on climate change, but are encouraged to investigate the diversity of children and young people’s awareness, attitudes and actions towards the issue.
